Ultra Rare Red Nine

This is an ultra rare Mauser C96 Red Nine automatic pistol. This is a museum quality piece, it was at one point part of a collection sold some years ago by a collector of C96`s. First to point out is that this was "ghost marked" with the deactivation proof stamp in that the stamps have been made internally so a not to be seen to spoil the looks and finish. The blued finish is almost 100% with only minor holster wear. It has the correct Red Nine grips with correct notches 25. The hammer is the correct one for this model with NS on the rear. All matching serial numbers.
The wooden holster stock is in fine condition and is numbered to the gun 284 with imperial acceptance stamp. The leather work is marked F. Winkel MAINZ 1916 it comes complete with the barrel cleaning rod and amazingly the spare pistol magazine spring is within the pouch pocket on the leather holster this has never been or atempted to be removed to prevent damage to the leather. Overall the leather has deteriorated in places but is in fair to good condition for its age. It is very rare to find a set this complete and original a real collectors piece.
